Quick answer: a .bd domain is registered after you pay and upload the owner's documents. Open the service under My domains, go to the Documents tab and fill in one form: owner name (exactly as on the NID), mobile number, NID number, NID front and back images, and a trade license for .com.bd and similar business names.

The .bd registry requires the real owner's identity. Names with wrong or missing documents cannot be sent for registration.
What to prepare
- Clear photos or scans of the NID front and back (JPG or PNG, small file size).
- The owner's name written the same way as on the NID.
- A valid mobile number you can be reached on.
- For business names such as .com.bd: the trade license.
What happens next
- After you upload everything, our team checks it and sends the order to the registry.
- The status on your domain page changes from "documents needed" to "waiting for the team" and then "processing at the registry".
- When it is active we email you.
